Mechanical Engineer at AllTek Staffing

AllTek Staffing is partnering with a local industrial consultant that focuses on engineering related projects at the well head and midstream applications.  They are on the hunt for a Sr Mechanical Engineer that is well versed in mechanical-process engineering applications.  If the candidate has electrical experience that is a huge plus.

Job Details:

• This is a full-time role.
• Position includes benefits and PTO.
• Working hours are traditional 8-5

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Understand and manage the project scope of work, budget and schedule as it applies to the mechanical facilities discipline
• Provide sketches, calculation and design for high pressure mechanical equipment used in the production and transportation of oil and gas, such as compression, pumps, valves, tanks, vessels, separators, piping, etc.
• Prepare the appropriate technical equipment specifications for review and approval
• Evaluate vendor’s documentation, drawings and technical bids and provide the necessary recommendations to support the project
• Provide technical oversight of the requisitioning and procurement of applicable equipment packages
• Have a solid understanding and working knowledge of standard drawings such as, P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment and Piping
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, PSM (HAZOPs)
• Piping design per ASME B31.8, B31.3 and 49 CFR Part 192 with design pressures of up to 15,000 PSI

Education and Experience:

• Must have 4-year engineering degree.
• PE is preferred. Also, willing to obtain PE’s in other states.
• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience
