Position:  Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: New York City

Projects: Infrastructure

Duties:

 The candidate’s experience should include a broad range of completed projects related specifically to HVAC engineering.

• Mechanical Engineer capable of independently performing various phases of design, including conceptual design to construction documents, engineering calculations, HVAC load calculations, HVAC system sizing & selection, specifications, and construction observations / support for public sector projects.
• He or she will also respond to all RFI’s, review shop drawings, code review and analysis, conduct field visits, and develop punch lists for project closeouts. He or she will have excellent verbal & written communication skills and serve as a representative of the firm both internally and externally.
• The candidate will be part of the mechanical design team on a variety of project types, which will include transit infrastructure.
• The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to our clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience designing HVAC.

• Proficient in AutoCAD.
