Mechanical Engineer
The Mechanical Engineer will play a critical role in the design and application of the equipment. The ideal candidate should have experience in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, DraftSight and/or AutoCAD. They should be well versed in sheet metal manufacturing processes, including welding, laser cutting, forming, and other relevant techniques. The primary focus for this individual will be the water products portfolio, including chillers, temperature control units, pump tanks, cooling towers, and complete water systems.
A successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Utilizing SolidWorks to create drawings for quotation and manufacturing purposes.
- Collaborate with Sales to produce application drawings for obtaining customer orders
- Recommend and assist in sourcing/quoting components suitable for each application
- Generate libraries for technical works used in the creation of technical drawings
- Capable of expanding duties to design and manufacturing equipment in-house
- Conduct FEA analysis to ensure the structural integrity and performance of designs
- Understanding pumps and motors, their relation to pressures, and flow inside piping systems to optimize design performance
- Reviewing orders with Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing teams when required
- Excited to learning and developing appropriate tools to improve efficiency.

A qualified candidate will be pro-active, dedicated, and possess these basic requirements:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering
- Preferred: 2-5 years of application and/or design engineering experience
- Proficiency in DraftSight and/or AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
- Proven experience with SolidWorks; FEA analysis would be a plus.
- Strong background in sheet metal manufacturing processes
- Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- Good engineering and analytical skills
- Strong customer service attitude and a quality focused mentality
- Strong work ethic with the desire to learn something new every day
- Experience in plastics processing equipment is a plus
