Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems and products by conducting research, applying knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
- Develop mechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
- Ensure project completion by conducting tests; modifying designs as necessary.
- Provide engineering support by responding to requests for mechanical designs; answering inquiries; training employees.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Use Solidworks to create detailed designs and models, and to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety.
- Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions.
- Estimate budget and scope of project.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience with Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
- An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application.
- Proven experience in product development and design.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team and to lead projects.
- Strong attention to detail, with an ability to spot potential problems before they occur.
- A creative and innovative approach to engineering, with a constant eye for improvement.
