Payrange: $35-$38 hourly
Position Overview:
- Ensure safe, reliable, and resilient operations of the Gas Compression fleet
- Support operations and projects in the Gas Compression area
- Act as subject matter expert for engine, compressor, and unit auxiliary systems
- Ensure adherence to design standards and regulatory compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering and design efforts for:
- Electrical power systems
- Lighting
- Temperature/pressure instruments
- HVAC
- Electrical valve actuators
- SCADA equipment for gas metering and regulation facilities
- Perform product and process research to support project requirements
- Provide technical support during construction and field implementation
- Draft and review technical specifications for project components and systems
- Collaborate with internal departments (Operations, Project Management, Project Controls, Meter Technology)
- Work with external vendors and service providers to manage project scope and deliverables
- Assist in designing and implementing systems, including:
- Replacements for City Gates or Regulator Stations
- Full-scale rebuilds and redesigns
- Prepare bid packages and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Evaluate contractor proposals and participate in contractor selection processes
- Conduct design and drawing reviews, including presentations to stakeholders
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues during construction and operations
Skills & Experience:
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Projects, and PowerPoint
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Knowledge of the design, construction, and operation of facilities
- Understanding of planning and permitting processes related to design and construction
- Experience in reviewing designs for compliance with engineering codes, constructability, and industry standards
- Experience in procurement of engineered materials, equipment, and professional services
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of relevant experience as an engineer
