About the Job
To handle new projects, we are seeking career minded intermediate level Mechanical Engineers with 5 to 7 years experience in minerals, cement, mining, or similar industries needed for Atlanta, GA office. Reports to the General Manager Atlanta office.
Mechanical Engineer II Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares process flow diagrams, equipment sizing and specifications, evaluations, recommendations.
- Controls the project budget and addresses all scope changes. Maintain and update weekly project status report.
- Communicate the project's requirements with other disciplines.
- Interfaces with the client, vendors.
- Mechanical Engineer II participates in the preparation of capital cost estimates: calculate capacities, weights, and surface area to determine such estimates.
- Develops designs and calculations to verify workability of mechanical details.
- Uses Autodesk's Revit & AutoCAD to produce accurate, professional drawings.
- Checks the vendor's approval drawings for compliance with the equipment specifications and project needs.
- Assists in field work inspections and site scanning, performs other project related tasks.
- Travel required to attend site kickoff meetings at various client plant sites.
- Willing to acquire and maintain MSHA Certification.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with software such as Belt Analyst, Bulk Flow Analyst, Aggflow, Pipeflow, Caesar II will be helpful.
Mechanical Engineer II Education and Licenses
- BS in Mechanical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
- EIT required. P.E. a plus.
