Selectek is in need of a Mechanical Engineer, PE with an emphasis on HVAC.
Required:
The engineer selected for this position will play a key role in the growth strategy for the Atlanta office. In this role, you will lead the mechanical design on projects and work with mechanical design staff across the firm. You will be the mechanical technical lead for design of complex projects and responsible for working with Project Managers, Senior Engineers, and other Project Engineers to develop design concepts and to execute detailed design documents.
You will mentor the junior staff as well as participate in business development. The company has a very successful mechanical engineering practice in building system HVAC and plumbing systems, as well as in steam, hot water, and chilled water production and distribution systems.
Sponsorship: No and MUST BE A US CITIZEN - no Green Card or Visa
Salary: $90, 000 - $145,000 annual salary
Term of Assignment: Direct hire
Location:
*****Atlanta, GA
*****Will consider VA locations - Lynchburg, Richmond, Washington DC/Alexandria area
*****Will consider NC location - Raleigh
Hours and Shift: Monday to Friday, 8AM - 5PM, possible some flex
Hybrid office schedule: MUST be in office one day per week at least and can WFH other days
Overtime: Yes, it is possible
Travel: light, 10-20% at most
Work Attire: Business casual
Background/ Drug test required: Yes

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Registered Professional Engineer or obtain through reciprocity within 3 months of start date
- Field knowledge of mechanical systems, familiarity with Trane Trace 700 analysis software
- Knowledge and application of sustainable design practices
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States
- Candidate must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
- 8 - 15 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Commissioning expertise is preferred
- Federal Government design experience is preferred
- LEED accreditation is preferred
