Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems for various projects, ensuring energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction. This position is two days remote per week.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Develop and design HVAC and MEP systems, including load calculations, system selection, ductwork, and piping layouts, ensuring compliance with local codes and standards.
- Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and schedules using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant tools.
- Analyze and optimize energy efficiency and system performance, providing innovative solutions to reduce environmental impact.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines (structural, electrical, plumbing) to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Provide technical support during construction, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC/MEP systems.
- Site Supervision and Compliance:
- Oversee the installation and implementation of HVAC/MEP systems on construction sites to ensure they meet design specifications and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections and testing to verify the performance and safety of mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards (ASHRAE, LEED, etc.).
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and develop customized mechanical system solutions.
- Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and resources.
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders.
