TEC is seeking an entry-level mechanical engineer (Engineer-in-Training) to be part of our project team. An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) performs work under regular supervision, duties and tasks related (and at times unrelated) to engineering, and design activities of the project team. Includes, but not limited to, engineering calculations, design layout and documentation while committing to meeting project schedules and deadlines. This position will include a variety of tasks to gain further knowledge and develop skills in the mechanical engineering field, as well as Company methodology and design standards. An EIT develops the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work independently, and proceed with objectives as directed. This position is geared toward transitioning to an Engineer I position.

Education/certifications.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit MEP is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam Revu.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently with little supervision.
- Must be able to pass background check (which includes criminal history, credit screening, education and employment verification) and drug screening.
- Must be able to obtain US military security clearance.
- Driving is required. Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Able to travel domestically and international.
Physical Requirements.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional work outdoors.
- Regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and reaching above/below the shoulders.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of performing on-site observation visits, which may require the use of ladders and working at heights.
Compensation:
- $23 to $25 per hour.
