Mechanical Engineer (cooling equipment) - 1st St. NW Technical Staffing

Engineering & manufacturing company has a direct-hire opening for a Mechanical Engineer.

Duties:

• Design and develop mechanical plans to produce industrial and commercial HVAC/refrigeration systems
• Select, size, and specify system components to include air distribution, air handling, refrigeration, piping, heat exchangers, pumps, piping, control valves, etc.
• Review mechanical/refrigeration components during manufacturing process and recommend design modifications
• Interface with external and internal customers (includes engineering, manufacturing, procurement, sales, etc.)
• Perform heat load calculations to determine facility cooling/refrigeration requirements
• Enter information into company’s ERP system

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
• 2+ years of professional mechanical design/engineering experience
• Heat & mass transfer and fluid dynamics experience or coursework
• Experience with HVAC/refrigeration/cooling equipment or similar a big plus
• AutoCAD and/or Solidworks experience a plus
