We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our location in Charlotte, NC.

We have 6 facilities in Oregon, California, North Carolina, Chicago and Ohio that supply new steel drums, reconditioned steel drums, reconditioned IBCs, plastic drums, and recycled plastic. The Mechanical Engineer will be an integral team member and work directly with management and plant team members.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities
**include the following
:
Create, update, and maintain all CAD drawings and files.
Generate 3D Models in SolidWorks.
Develop, document, and maintain project tasks and schedules to ensure they are on-time and within budget.
Investigate improvements, optimization, and cost reduction opportunities in the manufacturing process.
Identify capital equipment needs, create justifications, and create CER proposals.
Validate all new equipment installations and upgrades.
Ensure equipment, processes, tooling, and fixtures are able to meet all quality, capability, and safety requirements.
Work well in coordination with Operations, Purchasing, Sales, CI, EH&S, and Quality
Actively participate in plant safety and environmental initiatives, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Assist maintenance teams with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Learn, coach, and mentor on continuous improvement and LEAN processes.
Learn, coach, and mentor on equipment maintenance and operations.

**Other Duties:
** Include, but not limited to: Continuous Improvement Projects, Value Stream Analysis, A3’s, Kaizen Events, 6S, Safety Committee, or other duties as assigned by management.
**Required Education, Skill, and Experience:
**
BS degree Engineering plus work experience totaling minimum of 10 years.
Experience in mechanics, equipment, metal forming, and finishing processes.
Knowledge of Lean tools and applications.
3D Modeling experience required.
Experience in manufacturing equipment procurement and installation,

Lifting, pulling, and pushing – lifting, pulling, and pushing items from one position to another (infrequent).

You should be proficient in:
