Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Tool Design Engineer to join their team and contribute to their continued success in delivering precision-engineered parts. This role focuses on developing and implementing multi-station cold-forming tooling, working closely with production operators, and ensuring designs meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed multi-station cold forming tooling.
- Design and implement tooling to support production needs.
- Collaborate directly with operators on the production floor.
- Analyze rough drafts and specifications to develop final designs.
- Utilize advanced simulation software for tool design.
- Prepare and maintain drawings according to company standards.
- Manage the production job board and inspect incoming tooling.
- Modify and revise designs to improve efficiency and reduce production issues.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Simufact.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience in time and project management.
- Multiple years of experience in mechanical engineering, with cold heading experience preferred.
