Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Tool Design Engineer to join their team and contribute to their continued success in delivering precision-engineered parts. This role focuses on developing and implementing multi-station cold-forming tooling, working closely with production operators, and ensuring designs meet high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed multi-station cold forming tooling.
• Design and implement tooling to support production needs.
• Collaborate directly with operators on the production floor.
• Analyze rough drafts and specifications to develop final designs.
• Utilize advanced simulation software for tool design.
• Prepare and maintain drawings according to company standards.
• Manage the production job board and inspect incoming tooling.
• Modify and revise designs to improve efficiency and reduce production issues.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Simufact.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience in time and project management.
• Multiple years of experience in mechanical engineering, with cold heading experience preferred.
