Day-to-Day Duties May Include:

• Creating, revising, and archiving models and drawings of mechanical designs, based on input and guidance from engineers.
• Providing support to mechanical engineers by creating and modifying detailed mechanical drawings using SolidWorks from sketches, layouts and notes provided by engineers.
• Creating and modifying CAD models based on sketches, notes, or other instructions provided by engineers.
• Helping engineers create and process ECOs in Agile.
• Maintaining and archiving CAD data according to departmental operating procedures.
• Checking mechanical drawings created by engineers or other drafters for completeness, correctness, and conformance to standards.
• Contributing design recommendations to facilitate manufacturing or increase product quality.
• Originating new part/assembly designs, converting designs from one manufacturing process to another.
• Providing engineers and other drafters with CAD usage tips and training.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s of Science Degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years’ experience drafting complex mechanical systems.
• Highly proficient in SolidWorks.
• Experience with Windchill and Agile or Arena.
• Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5-2018.
• Familiarity with drafting/modeling for common manufacturing processes.
