SUMMARY
The Mechanical Designer designs and creates drawings per assigned project. The objective is to design products to perform effectively and to be cost efficient. Must understand customer design and build specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Creates 3D Designs and 2D drawings to customer requirements.
- Attends customer and internal reviews when required.
- Reviews all drawings prior to final release to checking.
- Fields telephone calls from build suppliers and shop personnel for engineering problems and associated problems.
- Revises mechanical drawings when necessary.
- Ensures all As-Builts and Non Conformances are updated on drawings as lined up by Mechanical Design Leader.
- Logs in, files and maintains all component information and drawings per assigned project.
- Fills out control line-ups per project when necessary.
- Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns in KUKA's facilities as well as in the customer’s facilities.
- Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training.
