This role involves designing material handling equipment and systems using CAD software, supporting procurement, and collaborating with engineers and clients, requiring a background in mechanical, chemical, or nuclear engineering and experience with industry standards and regulations. location: Richland, Washington job type: Contract salary: $29.00 - 62.69 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: + Collaborate with engineers to establish mechanical design requirements for new or existing systems. + Use CAD software (Solidworks, Microstation, IGRIP) to create 3D models, detail drawings, and simulations. + Develop designs that align with company regulations and client standards. + Work with company's Standard Application Programs and CAD/CAE tools for 2-D and 3-D design. + Foster an open, communicative, and innovative work environment. Skills: + Proficiency in 2-D and 3-D CAD design and related software. + Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. + Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations related to mechanical design. + Experience preparing discipline-specific deliverables, budgets, and schedules. + strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
