Mechanical Designer - Selectek, Inc.

Selectek is looking for a Mechanical Designer to design parts for boiler equipment and burners for commercial and residential applications.

Required:

• ERP and BOM creation and maintenance experience
• Assembly, machining, and sheet metal fabrication/welding knowledge
• GD&T Experience and Knowledge
• Inventor or Solidworks experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred:

• Autodesk Inventor and Vault experience
• 2-5 years of experience

 
 
Job order details:  

1. Prepares detailed models and drawings which include technical layout, multiple views, bills of materials, O&M manuals, and assembly drawings.
2. Understands and uses computer design system including AutoCAD Inventor.
3. Interfaces with internal staff as well as customers and vendors regarding technical issues pertaining to parts, design, usage, specifications, etc.
4. Interfaces with others inside and outside the company as required.
5. Demonstrates thorough and relevant product knowledge.
6. Position requires regular exercise of decision-making, problem solving, and policy or procedure interpretation skills.
7. Position requires a strong balance between attention to details without losing sight of the order lead time.
8. Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization as well as external customers if necessary.
9. Support manufacturing team with design capability if necessary.
10. Supply technical advice and counsel to other departments.

Pay range:  $19.23/hour - $28.85/hour ($40,000 - $60,000  annual salary)
Pay method when direct: Hourly and eligible for overtime pay
Location of job: Monroe, WI (Offering a relocation sum for qualified candidate)
Hours and shift: Monday - Friday / 8AM – 5PM
