Mechanical Designer- Industrial Equipment Design - Selectek, Inc.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Designer with strong Autodesk Inventor skills and a background in industrial mechanical equipment design. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and detailing large industrial equipment per customer specifications, utilizing your expertise in Autodesk Inventor to create detailed, accurate models and drawings. This position involves close collaboration with engineering, project management, and other departments to ensure that designs meet client requirements within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the Engineering Manager on job requirements, activities, and schedules.
• Work closely with project managers and other engineering departments, using AutoCAD 2D and Inventor for creating detailed layout drawings based on sketches and design concepts.
• Develop multi-view detailed drawings, models, and assemblies for equipment general arrangements, field erection, and shop fabrication drawings.
• Execute client requirements and ensure alignment with project timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including structural, electrical, and process engineers.
• Maintain complete, current project documents stored appropriately.
• Perform other tasks as required by the Engineering Manager.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in industrial equipment, using Autodesk Inventor.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for 2D and 3D design.

Additional Information:

• Location: Kennesaw, GA
• Term: 6-month Temp-to-Direct (TTD)
• Compensation: $60-70k for non-degreed candidates; higher consideration for those with extensive experience.
• Eligibility: US Citizens or Green Card holders only.
