In this role you be responsible for the mechanical design and development of new products, including research and integration of new and existing technologies.

In this role you be responsible for the mechanical design and development of new products, including research and integration of new and existing technologies.
As an Enclosure Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
- Design Enclosures of electrical equipment
- Optimize mechanical design of new products based on competing demands of performance, size, weight, cost and time
- Apply mechanical experience and knowledge of parts such as extrusions, sheet metal, machining, molding, and electrical systems.
- Develop 3D, assembly and product designs in SolidWorks, including 2D drawings and documentation.
- Design to meet regulatory compliance and qualification testing of new products
- Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for new and existing design
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-7 years of electromechanical enclosure design or SolidWorks experience where mechanical and electrical requirements are interdependent to meet performance and test specifications
- Have advanced skills in solid modeling (3D) software using SolidWorks or other software packages
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Problem-solver with critical thinking and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
