Description:
As a member of the robotics team consisting of Controls Engineer, Project Engineer and Application Engineer, the Project Engineer processes customer application information and performs engineering calculations to assure the solution performs to contract requirements for projects with automation using robots, pick and place systems
Main tasks and requirements:
- Evaluate and process customer application information
- Perform engineering calculations to assure the solution will perform to the contract requirements
- Create required approval, assembly, and detailed parts drawings using AutoCAD
- Create bill of materials, purchase requisitions, and order parts
- Perform application testing, as required
- Assist with factory acceptance testing (FAT)
- Assist with application review design and costing to assure accuracy

Job Details
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2019- 2D and 3D
- Experience in industrial automation and/or conveyor systems and system engineering; engineering robotics, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems in various manufacturing processes
- Experience with OEMs, machine design in a production environment, production flow management, production simulation, production analysis
- Strong working knowledge in the design and execution of robotic end effectors.
Education and experience:
- BS in Engineering preferred, AS or strong related job experience may be considered
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or systems integration company focused on the supply of industrial automation solutions using robotics, 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
