Marathon TS is seeking a highly motived, experienced mechanical engineer that will be tasked with working with a collaborative design team based on product requirements. Responsible for design and integration of electronic suites of equipment for industrial and DoD use into final deliverable products. This design position utilizes CAD/CAM/PLM based software packages to create detailed product drawings and 3D models of new products, product assemblies, and engineering change orders. The position requires collaboration internal to the department between engineering, production, and support staff as well as direct interaction with our customers.

What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years direct experience in mechanical design.
- Shall have prior experience in using a computer-aided design (CAD) system (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or similar) producing models and draft files.
- Shall provide attention to detail on all aspects of assigned tasks.
- Shall be self-motivated and task completion oriented.
- Shall have the ability to effectively work in a collaborative, team-based environment as well as independently.
- Shall possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize efforts in a fast-paced environment.
- Shall have the ability to learn new processes, design applications and features.
- Shall have basic computer skills including typical Microsoft office software applications.
- Shall have a record of punctuality and regular on-site attendance (this is an on-site position).
- Shall display good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Shall have the ability to provide direct checking efficiently and effectively on drawings and model files.
- Shall have the ability to obtain a security clearance if required.
- Shall have the expertise to produce quality engineering drawings and understand typical engineering standards and workflows.
- Shall be proficient in the design of parts for third party fabrication.
- Shall have direct experience in the creation, modification, and maintenance of drawing packages.
- Shall have the knowledge, skill, and ability to understand and interpret product drawings across multiple functional groups (i.e., interface of electrical hardware, assembly drawings, interface control drawings).
- Shall have the ability to lift 25lbs.
- Shall have the ability to operate basic hand tools and work standing or sitting for an extended period.
- Experience utilizing Solid Edge.
- Experience with MIL-STD environmental qualification testing.
- Experience with military hardware designs/standards.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Experience with technical input and proposal efforts.
