System One is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician for an industry-leading client in the Cranberry Township, PA area.
Responsible for the mechanical assembly of mechanical and electromechanical machines and large manufacturing production-line systems. This job may involve periodic assistance with installation of the machines and plant systems in the customer’s facility.

Required Education and Experience
Experience with hydraulics, piping, pneumatics, and electric motor driven systems. The assembly technician will need to learn the essential functions outlined previously within an 18 month period.

- Responsible for following design drawings and bills of material (BOM) to assemble the automated machines and systems sold to customers in our factory
- Gather materials and components from various stock locations according to the BOM
- Assembly of various small dia. piping, tubing, hydraulic hoses and fittings to devices typically on machines such as pumps, valves, instruments, hydraulic power units, heat exchangers, and pneumatic devices.
- Experienced technicians will crimp high pressure hoses, bend tubing, and thread piping
- Painting experience is a plus, but not required
- Work with cranes, forklifts or other lifting devices to move heavier components onto the machine frames and mount such devices by drilling, tapping or other fastening methods
- Must be capable of using wrenches up to 2” size; pipe wrenches up to 36” length
- Travel to jobs-sites in the US/Canada/Mexico dependent upon experience level
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with the plant health and safety regulations.
- Use power tools such as cordless drills, angle grinders, sanders, impact drills or wrenches
- Ability to fully understand dimensions on drawings and tape measures and ability to add and subtract dimensions when finding locations of points on machines in fabrication
- Assembly of floor stands, piping spools, and wire tray for temporary set-ups
- Can do basic carpentry for bracing machinery for shipment using wood planks or studs
- Understands basic piping hardware
- Proficient with hand tools
- Can physically exert up to 100lbs force for tightening fasteners or pipe fittings
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license
- Ability to work in small teams and take instructions
- Solid attendance record
- Ability to read drawings and perform basic math
