*Mechanical Assembler - TOPS Staffing

TOPS has partnered with a local manufacturing company to find several, high level mechanical assemblers to add to their growing team.

We are ideally looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience doing larger scale mechanical assembly work in a manufacturing environment.  Any car or diesel mechanic experience would also be a plus but is not must have experience to qualify for the opportunity.

These are upper level assembler roles, that will be tasked with doing final system assembly work.  You will be responsible for piecing together several system components to make a working finished product and then testing this product to ensure proper functionality.

Job Details:
Contract to hire 
$22 to start 
Daylight Shift - 7am to 3:30pm + overtime as needed. 
Work Schedule - Monday to Friday - Saturday may be required on occasion.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Possess necessary computer skills including MRP/ERP SYSTEM, Outlook email
• Willingness to learn new skills and incorporate the use of new equipment
• Read/understand blueprints, specifications or other design documents/ schematics 
• Clean products, including removal of coatings, corrosion, or dirt using approved cleaning materials
• Bending Tubing per design during the assembly of actuators
• Setup actuators for testing. Including any necessary wiring and pneumatic connections as necessary.
• Operate company vehicles, fork trucks, cranes, and lifting equipment as required
• Operate hand tools as needed to perform deburring and grinding tasks
• Troubleshoot actuators during assembly and testing
• Perform general labor work as assigned
   

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
• AS degree in related degree from trade school is preferred.
• Ability to complete quality documentation paper work is required.
• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a production environment.

• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
