About the Job
TOPS has partnered with a well established client in Pittsburgh to find experienced Mechanical Assembly Level 1, 2, or 3 Technician to add to their growing production and service team.
In this position you will perform complex mechanical assembly of subassemblies ranging from small to large scale. Must have prior mechanical assembly related experience to be considered this could be from any industry, but ideal candidate would have experience from one or more of the following: maintenance, millwright, mechanic or mid to sr level production assembler.

Job Details:
Direct Hire - Hired on by client from first day of employment.
Work schedule: 9/80 work schedule – 5 x 9hr days one week then 4 x 9hr days the next
or
4 -10hr days schedule
Shift: Flexible hours – Daylight shift – 8am to 5pm
Starting pay rate based on experience: $24 to $32 per hour
Duties/Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test complex mechanical systems involving a large number of parts; alignment and precision tolerance of parts is critical.
- Fit and size parts using lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and other tools
- Clean and prepare parts for paint
- Assist in the packing and shipping of equipment to customers
- Assist Quality Control
- Maintain orderly work area, machines, and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical School or Machining Apprenticeship is desirable
- At least one year of mechanical experience is preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Required to attend Fork Truck training and obtain certification
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Work is generally performed in a shop environment;
- Position requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting and standing in order to perform job duties
- lifting (up to 75 pounds) for our larger parts.
