Bruker is looking for a mechanical assembler with strong communication skills to help us build the best electron microscopes in the world. A major part of the responsibilities will include assembling precision mechanical assemblies for electron sources operating at up to 200 kV. Communication skills are highly prized, and will help you succeed in coordinating with team members on various tasks, as are attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to established protocols.
Responsibilities:Inspect quality of incoming parts.
Assemble mechanical and electrical parts and sub-assemblies.
Occasionally perform light machine shop duties such as operating drills, sanders, and material cutting equipment.
Maintain good house-keeping and organization of work area.
Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
Cleans and maintains equipment, including tools.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
AA degree or higher required, training will be provided. Assembly experience is a plus.
Being able to read, understand, and follow detailed engineering drawings and process specifications is a strong plus.
High degree of hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and ask for guidance when appropriate.
Must be reliable and commit to a consistent schedule.
Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
Ability to work well with others.
At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $65,020 and $84,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
