Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed job files for each project.
- Optimize projects through product selection, specifications, value engineering, and redesigns.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Support Outside Sales Engineers and MEP Consultants with product selections.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including Owners, Architects, and Contractors.
- Prepare and organize data for order entry.
- Utilize computer-based pricing and selection tools.
- Interpret and analyze building plans and specifications.
- Build and nurture relationships with customers, contractors, engineers, and manufacturers.
- Identify and address project requirements, constraints, and opportunities.
- Investigate and resolve project concerns to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Travel occasionally for training purposes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years as an Application Engineer or Estimator in an HVAC manufacturers' representative firm.
- Familiarity with MEP consulting, architecture, design, and construction industries is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
- Experience with manufacturer software like Johnson Controls' Solution Navigator, YorkWorks, Edge, K-Select, Bosch BST, or Wilo Pump Intelliquip is advantageous.
- Strategic Skills: Ability to grasp complex concepts, adapt to changes, and navigate ambiguity.
- Operational Skills: Effectively prioritize tasks, organize processes, and streamline workflows.
- Behavioral Skills: Proactive problem-solving, conflict resolution, and goal-oriented drive.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and stress management.
- Regularly operate a computer and phone, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or balancing.
- Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Requires visual acuity for close and distance tasks.
