Job Description: As a Mechanical Analyst at Selectek, you will be at the forefront of groundbreaking projects, performing critical analysis in various areas, including aerodynamics, aerospace, space craft, flight simulators, and pressure vessels in the energy and nuclear sector. Your role will involve verifying the structural integrity of mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they will safely perform throughout their design service life. You'll work with a diverse set of stress analysis tools, including classical "hand" analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Our company operates as a second-tier supplier to some of the largest Energy and Aerospace organizations, allowing us to influence and shape the future of these industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform stress analysis to ensure the structural integrity of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Utilize classical "hand" analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs.
- Analyze and verify the performance and safety of components in aerospace, spacecraft, energy, and nuclear sectors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to drive innovation and excellence in projects.
- Conduct dynamic analysis, fatigue analysis, fracture analysis, nonlinear analysis, composites analysis, and thermal analysis as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Passion for aerospace, aerodynamics, and mechanical analysis.
- Proficiency in classical hand analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
