About the Job
ManTech is seeking a skilled, professional, and service-oriented Mechanic Technician to join our vehicle sustainment team. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
+ Replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
+ Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
+ Effectively applies industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
+ Selected candidates must be a US Citizen.
+ 6+ years of qualified automotive maintenance experience.
+ Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
+ Proven maintenance experience with repair and technical experience, background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
+ Experience with maintenance support to include operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
+ Experience with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
+ Experience applying industry and/or military standard troubleshooting procedures to isolate faulty system components.
+ Proficient with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
+ Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
+ Insurable Driver's License.
+ Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements, if needed.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience on non-tactical/commercial vehicle fleets and/or military shall be with light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, ground systems.
Clearance Requirements:
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
+ Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
+ Must be able to work in high noise areas.
+ Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
+ Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
