Mechanic at Statewide Stripes, Inc.

We are a 30-year construction company and growing rapidly. Top Pay with full family benefits and pension: The following positions are needed for Equipment Maintenance and mechanical repairs, light fabrication, and electrical repairs for equipment. This position involves but is not limited to mechanical analysis, small engine repairs, equipment electrical diagnostics and repair, hydraulics, light fabrication, pumps, propane & diesel burners. We have a fleet of Diesel trucks, Gas trucks, and specialty equipment used within our trade. These positions require similar previous experience and a valid driver’s license. We are based in San Diego, CA.

Technician Duties Include:

Troubleshoot and Repair of Specialty Trucks, Forklifts, Compressors, and other Heavy Equipment

Repair and Maintenance of equipment involving Hydraulics / Air Brakes / Electrical / Suspension / Mechanical/ Pumps and Propane Systems and General Engine Troubleshooting, must be able to respond to mobile field service calls.

Less Vehicle Base, more Equipment Base, Hydraulics, Pumps and Propane Systems.

Welding / Fabricating and Retrofitting vehicles and equipment as needed to accommodate an evolving operation.

Required to do all tasks, if necessary, load trucks, run errands, driving, traveling, organizing, cleaning, and maintaining equipment and applicators.

Requirements Include:

5+ Years of Fleet Mechanic experience

5+ Years of verified engine / equipment repair on Gas & Diesel.

Able to lift 50+ pounds.

Valid CA Driver's License

Must be able to pass a DMV Physical/A valid CDL is a plus,

Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Mechanic Certification

Must be able to Speak, Read, and Write English

Must have the basic tools of the trade.

Welding / Fabricating Skills experience preferred.

Commercial Vehicle Fleet Maintenance in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Preferred: Flexible hours; do not leave until the job is done, may need to work weekends. Sometimes high stress, Quick turnaround fast deadlines. Work on multiple projects at one time.

Salary : $120,000 / year to start, Plus Company Truck / Truck Allowance to be provided, Plus Union Benefits
