Job Summary
Drexel University's Facilities Management Department is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Union Plumber / Multi-skilled Maintenance employee.
Essential Functions
- Clear and unclog drains, and repair leaks.
- Respond to service calls for general building maintenance items campus-wide which will include work in classrooms, restrooms, and occasionally residence halls, athletic facilities, and outdoor work. Calls will include repair requests for doors, windows, roofs, electrical, plumbing, furnishings, locks, safety protection, and other items as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 7 years in Maintenance Work
- Valid driver's license required.
- Journeyman level skills and license required
- The job requires an employee who can perform with minimum supervision and take the initiative to complete the assignment. Each employee is classified by union contract as a mechanic and management reserve the right to change an employee's daily assignment each day for miscellaneous duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master level skills and license preferred.
- A backflow certificate is preferred.

- Typically bending, crouching, stooping
- Lifting demands ≤ 50lbs

Additional Information
This position is classified as exempt, union position. Compensation for this position is $31.99 as per the Union contract.
