SUMMARY: Under basic supervision, provides basic maintenance to school buses to include fueling, airing tires, and lighting fixtures. Serves as substitute bus driver.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job description is subject to change at any time by the employer. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Cleans and washes buses; details upholstery.
- Assists mechanics; fuels buses and checks air in tires and oil levels daily.
- Maintains and cleans bathrooms and other areas in and around bus barn.
- May perform minor plumbing, electrical, or carpentry work as assigned.
- Serves as substitutive bus driver.
- Completes other duties as assigned or required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; AND one (1) year of experience performing various maintenance tasks; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Arizona issued Commercial Driver’s License.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Arizona School Bus Driver Certification.
Required Knowledge of:
- Vehicle maintenance methods and techniques.
- District and Department policies and procedures.
- All duties and responsibilities required of a Bus Driver.
Required Skills in:
- Fueling and maintaining buses or large vehicles.
- Conducting various maintenance tasks.
- Operating commercial equipment.
- Practicing methods involved in providing quality customer service.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Work is performed in District bus barn. May be exposed to dangerous tools and equipment; safety precautions must be followed, including use of safety equipment.
