Mechanic Helper

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist mechanics and technicians with repairing and maintaining vehicles, machinery, or equipment.
2. Clean work areas, tools, and equipment regularly to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
3. Fetch tools, parts, and supplies as needed for ongoing repairs and maintenance tasks.
4. Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements under the guidance of experienced mechanics.
5. Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues by observing and reporting symptoms or abnormalities.
6. Learn and follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workshop.
7. Support mechanics in disassembling and reassembling parts during repair and maintenance procedures.
8. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each task.
9. Assist in test-driving vehicles or equipment to verify repairs and ensure proper functioning.
10. Continuously learn and improve mechanical skills by seeking guidance from experienced technicians and participating in training programs.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent education required.
2. Previous experience in a mechanical or automotive environment preferred.
3. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.
4. Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
5. Good communication skills to effectively interact with mechanics, supervisors, and customers.
6. Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
7. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
8. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures in the automotive industry.
9. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record may be required depending on the job requirements.
10. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
