Position Summary
The Maui .Net Developer will be responsible for creating high-quality cross-platform mobile and desktop applications using .NET MAUI (Multi-platform App UI). The ideal candidate will be This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy user-friendly applications while ensuring a consistent experience across multiple platforms.
Work Schedule: This position currently follows a hybrid work model. Employees are required to work from the office at least four days per week (Monday - Thursday), with Friday available for remote work, offering a blend of in-person collaboration and flexibility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Develop Cross-Platform Apps: Design, build, and maintain mobile and desktop applications using .NET MAUI, targeting iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows.
- UI/UX Implementation: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces. Ensure applications provide a seamless experience across all devices.
- Code Quality & Architecture: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. Contribute to the design and architecture of the application, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Platform-Specific Features: Implement and manage platform-specific functionality (e.g., device sensors, notifications, camera integration) while maintaining a unified codebase across platforms.
- API Integration: Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for data retrieval and synchronization, ensuring the app interacts seamlessly with back-end services.
- Testing & Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug application issues, improve app performance, and resolve bugs. Implement unit tests and automated tests to ensure code quality and stability.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest advancements in .NET MAUI, mobile development practices, and cross-platform frameworks to continuously improve development processes.
- Documentation: Provide clear documentation for code, APIs, and technical processes, ensuring easy handover and maintenance of the app in the future.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet user and business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience building cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI (or Xamarin) for mobile (iOS, Android) and desktop (macOS, Windows).
- Proficiency in C#: Strong knowledge of C# programming language, with experience in object-oriented design and development.
- XAML: Experience with XAML for designing user interfaces in cross-platform apps, including layout and styling.
- Cross-Platform Development: Understanding of the challenges of building apps for multiple platforms and experience in creating platform-agnostic solutions.
- API Integration: Experience with integrating third-party REST APIs, data handling, and backend communication.
- Mobile/desktop development best practices: Familiarity with mobile and desktop app design patterns like MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) or MVU (Model-View-Update).
- Testing & Debugging: Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit, XUnit) and debugging tools, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality, bug-free apps.
- Version Control: Proficient with Git and Git workflows for version control and collaboration.
- Problem Solving & Debugging: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Experience in developing cross-platform applications with Xamarin.Forms and migrating them to .NET MAUI.
- Experience with Xamarin.Forms or Xamarin.iOS/Xamarin.Android
