- Minimum of 1 years' experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment utilizing a computerized materials management system.

They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of incumbents in this job classification.Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a Materials Technician II to join our Waco, TX team.The position performs tasks including: coordination and movement of materials, packaging, labeling, and stocking product for shipment; or accepting, verifying, and recording of incoming materials from the manufacturing plant; physically lift, place, and carry items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds up to waist level or below for moderate distances.
Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment and perform duties as related to functional area of assignment, listed below, and be familiar with safety, environmental, and emergency procedures for equipment in that functional area.
- Review re-pack paperwork to determine packaging and labeling requirements.
- Setup and run label printer/applicators, scales, palletizers and stretch wrapping machines. Accurately input data into label computer systems.
- Setup scale and package large tub product into crates utilizing tub dumper or hand pack
- Print final bill upon arrival of truck.
- Put up stock in accordance with inbound advice instructions, verifying accuracy of system data. Take appropriate action to correct identified inaccuracies.
- Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. Performs inventory transfers between locations, accurately input data into computer system to record movement of materials.
- Load and unload trucks, verifying match of shipping documents to material.
- Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to receive, load and transport material to designated location in a safe and efficient manner.
- Performs TSA screening in accordance with the rules set forth by Homeland Security
- Signs visitors in and out of building
- Participate in improvement activities in line with ABS
- Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
- Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
- Performs all work activities in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices and adheres to 5-S principles by keeping work area clean and orderly.
- Perform numerous miscellaneous general warehouse tasks as required.
