The materials supervisor isresponsible for planning and monitoring the logistics of materials and products used in the branch, ensuring the branchhasmaterials needed to produce and meet customer expectations and managing the flow of inventory. The materials supervisor assists the materials manager in training and supervising the team andmaintaining aschedule for ordering materials and maintaining an efficient inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Keep production flowing smoothly by ensuring the proper materials are on hand at all times.
- Develop an inventory schedule by analyzing trends and customer demands to ensure 100% satisfaction.
- Manager supplier and customer relationships
- Other duties as assigned
- Attention to detail
- Above average MS office skills, mainly Excel, Oracle and purchasing experience a plus
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- A problem-solver
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to function in a warehouse environment
- 3 years supervisory experience in high volume supply chain
- 5years of experience in material planning or inventory control required
- Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, computerized inventory systems and Microsoft programs required
- Certificate in production or inventory management is a plus, APICS affiliation is a plus
