We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to join our team!
The Materials Management Supervisor will oversee the materials responsibilities in the department while providing materials support for the production line.
The Manufacturing Materials Supervisor role directs the development and implementation of activities in material line support team to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.
The International Tulsa Manufacturing Plant runs two schedules (Mon-Thurs, 4:30AM – 3:00PM and 5:00AM - 3:30PM). This role will support production and may need to cover including Fridays and weekends as needed.
- Supervise and manage a team to provide support in daily production needs
- Maintain and audit accurate inventory
- Develop and encourage the team in growing within their career
- Demonstrate problem solving resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action to resolve and prevent production interruptions
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems
- May assist with the establishment and maintenance of inventory control system
- Develop and evaluate personnel to ensure efficiency of operation functions
- Allocate staffing and coverage, foresee production issues and diminish downtime
- Drive Safety improvements, behaviors and strong culture of safety in Supply Chain
- Communicate across multiple functions including Operations, Quality, Engineering and other production departments in manufacturing plant to ensure production goals are met
- Develop 5S schedules and maintains 5S in assigned stations
- Plan and schedule overtime based off of tasks and production needs
- Assist team members with communicating to off-site warehouse to get parts to the plant
- Responsible for enforcement of contractual language and obligations and working with local Union Representatives toward effective resolution and prevention of grievance issues.
- Lead by example with the TRATON core values
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 3 years of production/manufacturing experience
OR
- Master’s degree
- At least 1 year of production/manufacturing experience
OR
- At least 5 years of production/manufacturing experience
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Computer Skills – Proficient MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook), Teams, and BAAN
Analytical Skills – Critical thinking capability, ability to compare, contrast and quantify, and keen attention to detail, with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily business requirements
Ability to communicate with off-site warehouse
Takes initiative, embraces challenge/change Projects self-confidence
Flexible in working overtime to complete daily tasks and support production needs
Ability to use logic and methods to analyze problems and make effective decisions
