Materials Handler Supervisor - Ascend Wellness Holdings

JOB SUMMARY

The Materials Supervisor is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the handling and distribution of cannabis products, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products and related materials.
• Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding the handling, storage, and transportation of cannabis products.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Train and mentor material handling staff, providing guidance on best practices and compliance requirements.
• Monitor product quality throughout the handling process and address any issues promptly.
• Generate reports on material handling activities, inventory levels, and compliance metrics as required.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as cultivation and production, to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of materials.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Manage a team of material handlers, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the cannabis industry or a similar regulated environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
