Materials Handler - Nobilitas Group LLC

Position Title: Materials Handler
Pay Rate: $22.43/hr
6 month contract to hire
Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Mon-Fri

Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing all shipments from our facility and receiving parts and materials delivered to us.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work both independently and with team members, supervisors, and support staff to ensure products are ready to ship on schedule.
• Arrange for product transport, prepare products for shipment, and coordinate with export packers.
• Assist customers and freight forwarders with questions about orders, shipping dates, and destinations.
• Accurately complete paperwork and enter shipping and receiving information using computer systems.
• Check item and part numbers and verify the quantity of products being shipped or received.
• Deliver items to the correct area or person.
• Operate forklifts and equipment for unloading rail cars.
• Process work orders from the shop floor.
• Set up and perform inventory counts.
• Process scrap tags for approval.
• Collect quality notifications from repairs and inform the appropriate team when complete.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work well with team members in a proactive and positive manner.
• Understanding of manufacturing scheduling.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Access, Excel, and Word).
• Experience with SAP (a type of business software) is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.

Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or shipping, or 2 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to build good relationships and work well with others at all levels within the organization.
