Material Planning Supervisor - Aquinas Consulting

Aquinas Consulting has an immediate need for an experienced Material Planning Supervisor job at a growing client located in the Olathe, Kansas area. The Materials Planning Supervisor leads a team of Material Planners, with the responsibility of planning and scheduling the delivery of raw materials and finished parts from suppliers. This team is responsible for monitoring the flow of buy items, guaranteeing availability of components in order to avoid material shortages and production downtime, as well as managing inventory levels to meet our customer service and inventory targets.
 

Material Planning Supervisor job Responsibilities:                              

•  Manage purchasing and material planning to ensure timely delivery, optimal inventory levels, and proactive shortage management.
• Serve as an escalation point to resolve supply chain issues promptly and effectively.
• Train and guide the Purchasing/Planning Team to utilize ERP tools, Lean principles, and Allegion Standard Work.
• Communicate forecasts, manage supplier performance, and drive corrective actions when needed.
• Support supplier transitions, product modifications, and new material launches.
• Identify gaps, champion process improvements, and maintain a customer-focused approach in high-pressure environments

Qualifications:
•    BA/BS degree preferred with 3-5 years planner/buyer experience.
•    1-3 years previous supervisory experience
•    Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
•    Skilled in supplier scheduling including new product introductions.
•    Able to provide directions and training to peers as needed.
•    Computer proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office tools
•    Experience in inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
•    APICS CPIM preferred.
