ABOUT THE ROLE
As a CBRE Material Handling Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, and the corrective repair of the automated packing and distribution equipment.
This job is part of the Material Handling job function. They are responsible for the incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Maintain and trouble-shoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc. Maintain and repair distribution center racking.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.
Perform preventive/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals.
Create and close work orders to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into asset management system.
Track and store department inventory, including spare parts.
Assist with basic electronics/Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting.
Handle additional duties as assigned.
Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Experience with Automated conveyor systems and controls, repair of equipment, predictive/preventive maintenance tools and procedures, metal/wood fabrication preferred.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
