Reeb® Millwork an SBP Brand is currently looking for an experienced Second Shift Material Handler Team Lead to join our VALUES based organization.
POSITION SUMMARY
Accurately and efficiently, load trucks for delivery to customers while coordinating the activities of the warehouse and co-workers to ensure smooth production of product for the business unit.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manually load all units and warehouse items onto delivery trucks
- Use a hand-held scanner to locate items and load them onto the trucks
- May have to make minor repairs on product if found damaged
- Move any damaged or non-conforming items from the loading dock to the appropriate area for rework or RTV
- May require operation of forklift - training and certification provided
- Conduct all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards and loading procedures
- Meet standards for quality as set forth by the company by inspecting product as loaded and following proper loading procedures
- Assure proper housekeeping and organization on the loading dock, including outside the loading doors
- Strive to meet team efficiencies without compromising quality of loading accurately
- Enforce safety procedures and policies and ensure a safe work environment free of hazards
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other government agencies
- Ensure proper compliance and execution of the HAZMAT program
- Help drives overall quality for pulled items shipped to customer
- Ensures completion of all work by end of shift
- Strives to ensure quality outcome of product the first time, responsible for correcting quality errors and fixing processes to avoid future quality errors from occurring.
- Help direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in warehouse tasks and activities.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Demonstrate equipment operations, certify workers on equipment, and ensure safe work practices by employees.
- Partner with human resources to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Responsible to help train and develop co-workers in their jobs
- Review operations and confer with technical staff to resolve production or processing problems
- Prepare and maintain production reports
- Ensure inspection of materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Manage production with minimum waste and quality errors
Starting Pay: $20/Hr. based on experience.
