About the Job
JOB SUMMARY
The Material Handler will accurately prepare, deliver, and transact in the ERP system the raw materials for production in a timely manner; as well as verify receipt of all incoming/returned materials and all materials being shipped.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. | Stocking and distribution of incoming materials. |
2. | Planned schedule of Material Control in all aspects of efficient department operations; production, shipping, receiving, inventory control. |
3. | Empty and replace raw material scrap and bins |
4. | Verify all part counts and ensure that deliverable product is packaged per work instructions or best commercial practices in the absence of work instructions. |
5. | Assist in shipping and receiving for CPG. |
6. | Ensure that all articles shipped are properly documented. |
7. | Process all inventory transactions electronically in the ERP system as required. |
8. | Assist in Inventory Audits and Cycle counts as needed |
9. | Other duties as assigned. |
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
· 2+ years of related experience required.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
· Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written oral instructions.
· Ability to be at work on time on a regular consistent basis.
· Ability to operate Forklift
· Ability to lift 45 pounds
· Ability to familiarize with Company ERP system.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES – If Applicable
· Must be able to pass forklift certification course.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Must be able to lift 45 pounds from floor level to chest height.
· Must be able to stand for 3-hour duration.
· Must be able to kneel, stoop, twist, and bend continuously through a 3-hour duration.
· Must be able to reach up, out and over for short periods of time.
· Must be able to lift hands above shoulder height multiple times throughout the 10-hour shift.
· Must be able to push, pull and move material at floor or waist height multiple times throughout the 10-hour shift.

The work is primarily performed in a typical production environment. Wear safety attire or protective gear, may be exposed to distracting noise levels, may work within a few feet of other workers.
For the most part ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical office environment. At times will be exposed to heat, cold, wind, rain, sun and confined spaces
