If you are an experienced Material Handler looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson, has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Olive Branch, MS, you will be responsible for LTL (less than truckload) loading and unloading of product to and from trailers and conveyor lines with the use of forklifts.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Responsible for moving product within the warehouse by means of motorized equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Load and/or unload trailers
- Ensures load is routed to correct trailer by SOP
- Must shrink wrap pallet and/or band product prior to trailer staging.
- Ensure correct bill of lading is place on correct truck line.
- Maintain safe actions on and off the equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state and local provisions.
- Meet and maintain department quality, attendance and productivity requirements.
- Adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment.
- Follows standard operating procedures to ensure product is loaded to correct carrier and trailer.

For this Role, You Will Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Requires prior forklift certification with 6 months previous warehouse experience
- Previous shipping/material handling experience
- Previous RF equipment to move product
- Ability to stand, squat, bend, lift, push and pull for shift all product/carton weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Complete tasks safely.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Ability to operate the forklift safely
- Effective Communication Skills: Verbal and Written (English)
- Follow written and/or oral instructions in English
- Able to lift pieces weighing more than 50 pounds (assist when needed) and work in bending, squat, push, pull, and foot positions (includes working off stairs) for long periods of time
- This position may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to grasp, finger, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Incumbent will be required to perform dynamic activities including reaching and stretching, as well as, frequent bending and twisting of the torso.
- Must be able to work quickly meeting productivity and quality standards
- Promote an environment where individual contributions to quality and cost improvements are increased.
- Pass forklift certifications and requirements for operating forklift
