Job Purpose
The purpose of the Material Handler-Manufacturing Dept. is to move materials to designated areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

Maintain compliance with company and OSHA policy in regard to operations and safety issues, including but not limited to: forklift operation, proper use of PPE, sharps discovery, and handling.
Must clearly understand and perform all procedures and equipment per training and must attend all required training sessions (including safety training).
Move material in a timely and efficient manner with forklifts utilizing multiple attachments.
Load and unload materials to and from unit load device (ULD). Accurately record weights, and ensure all bags/rolls/pallets are labeled and stored in the proper location.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department and the surrounding area (including the outside dock area) according to the master cleaning list (MCL).
Fill out forms as required.
Must be attentive to potential contamination issues and handle issues appropriately.
Responsible for compliance with food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)requirements.
Adhere to applicable prerequisite programs (PRP) per HACCP requirements.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Previous experience driving forklifts and utilizing material handling equipment required.
Previous experience in a fast-paced environment a plus.
Must be able to read and write in English, as well as basic proficiency in math.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to work D shift - Manufacturing will be transitioning to a 24/7 operation schedule as early as January 2025 to support production. The candidate will work the Day or Swing shift until training is completed, then will move to D Shift.
