Material Handler/Forklift Operator - Tippin's Gourmet Pie Plant - Balls Foods

The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. To assist with inventory control, and shipping/receiving. This position entails direct receiving, shipping, and inventory distribution operations. The goal is to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse
• Load and unload trucks and transport materials to designated areas
• Inspect the forklift daily to ensure it is in safe operating condition
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator certification
• Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong physical stamina
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within the food industry.
• Environmental awareness:
  • Exposure to flour dust, moderate noise, and extreme temperatures (oven room, Freezers, can get as low as -20 degrees)

Position pays: $17/hour
