Material Handler - Entry Level

SUMMARY

A Material Handler works as part of a team to provide material support within a dynamic manufacturing environment. A Material Handler I flexes easily between tasks and seeks to be proficient at all tasks within their assigned functional area.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS & PAY RATES:

• DAY 5am-3:30pm Mon-Thurs                   @ $17.50 /hr

DUTIES:

• Delivers material to point of consumption in response to Kanban signals
• Stores and retrieves parts in warehouse using first-in first-out process
• Accurately performs inventory transactions and adjustments
• Participates in daily in Tier 1 Daily Management System meetings
• Contributes to continuous improvement projects
• Keeps work area well organized and clean
• Assists with performing cycle counts
• Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFCATIONS:

• Must have at least 6 months of work history in light-industrial/warehouse/manufacturing environments
• Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
• May be required to alternate schedules to meet production goals
• Ability to adjust work pace in response to daily production data
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred
