MATERIAL HANDLER - York Employment Services

We are looking for a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, loading, and unloading materials within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience with forklifts or other warehouse equipment.



Key Responsibilities:


Safely load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment to transport goods (certification or training available)

Ensure materials are properly stored, organized, and labeled
Assist in preparing materials for shipment, including packing and palletizing items

Maintain accurate records of material movements and stock levels

Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Collaborate with other team members to meet production and shipping deadlines'

Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role is preferred

Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds regularly

Familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (preferred but not required)

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Basic math and inventory management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
High school diploma or equivalent
