Hourly Wage is $21.00/hr and is eligible to increase with promotions and wage adjustments.
Responsibilities
PURPOSE:
By means of pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other means, the Production Material Handler is responsible for the movement of product in connection with receiving, storing, staging, and distribution functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Promotes a strong safety culture and help provide oversight of safe work practices.
+ Sets a positive example for employees by actively participating in completion of daily work and promoting company policies, procedures and goals.
+ Proactively participates in a company “team” approach; and effectively communicates operational needs and priorities with internal team members.
+ Follows procedures and JSA’s- insertion of corrugated material, obtains needed packaging supplies, grinding scrap bottles/tails.
+ In charge of maintain consumables and packing materials for the coating material.
+ Reads schedules, pick list, packing list, and, or, material requisitions to determine items to be move, gathered, distributed, staged, and, or, loaded.
+ Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage and, or, designated areas.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Pick products for converting according to the department schedule in a timely fashion
+ Assist with inventory
+ Complete required documentation
Qualifications
+ Must be able to work safely and follow safety rules.
+ Must be able to identify and report violations and unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
+ Must be able to wear protective clothing as uniform, rubber-soled shoes, gloves, long-sleeved shirt, and earplugs.
+ Must be able to follow all department procedures and directives.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills.
+ Able to read, write, speak and understand English directions/instructions.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Able to work overtime.
+ Required to lift boxes weighting up to 35 lbs.
+ Demonstrate computer knowledge in DcLink and JDE.
+ Forklift driving is required a minimum of 4 hours per day. The individual must pass Berry’s Forklift Training Course.
