To maintain distribution of products and component parts according to the needs of the department by delivering materials and supplies to and from warehouse inventory locations.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Degree
Skills:
- Two years of forklift and warehouse environment experience preferred
- Must be able to drive/operate
- Sit-down
- Stand-up
- Cherry Picker
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred
- Knowledge of computer usage
- Effectively communicate (written/verbal) with personnel from all departments.
- Must pass material handler competency tests.
- Must pass Peerless Forklift physical and written test.
- Must be able to work overtime without notice.
- Must be able to read basic Engineering prints to identify parts for transactions.
- Must lift up to 30 lbs. Anything over 30 lbs. requires a team lift.
Hours:
- 5:00 am – 1:30 pm
Pay:
- Starting at $18.00/hour
ESSENTIAL RESULTS:
- Transfer material from and into warehouse locations.
- Retrieve unused or excess supplies and equipment and return/reenter them to inventory.
- Maintain inventory by correctly identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock. Inventory Identification Tags must be maintained during all transactions.
- Pulls materials and supplies listed on scanner, work orders, move tickets, material reqs. and delivers them to appropriate workstations or other locations. Document movements with bar code scanner, IFS, or shop order tracker.
- Supports other departments by picking and delivering parts to their respective areas/departments.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by inspecting facility during daily routine, reporting problems to the material handler lead.
- Maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment by following manufacturer's standards of use and reports damage or mechanical problems to the Maintenance department. Fills out daily forklift checklist.
- Maintains safe, organized, and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Verifies inventory is properly marked and stocked in correct locations. Notifies Inventory Control if errors are recognized.
- Must meet daily order pick measurements specified on the Training Checklist
- Performed “other duties” as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends (when applicable)
- Must be physically capable of standing/bending /stooping/griping 8+ hour shift(s)
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis without assistance. Anything higher than 30 lbs. requires a team lift.
- Must be able to work in non-climate, non-dust-controlled areas
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment: shoes, glasses, harness, etc.
