Job Description
The Material Coordinator role will be the onsite point ofcontact and owner for all things related to construction materials andinventory. The Material Coordinator is responsible for accurate completion ofpicking and staging construction materials daily and completing system shippingto account for job numbers and inventory accuracy. The role will work withManager-Materials to complete cycle counts daily. The Material Coordinator willassist with loading and unloading shipments and inbound receipts and providingshortage, overage or damage information to Manager-Materials as required. TheMaterial Coordinator will schedule freight pick-ups and complete all requireddocumentation for bill of ladings or manifests as required.
Position is a union position and reports directly to theManager-Materials.
What Youll Do:
Perform tasks related to dock and stock work includingpicking, packing, unpacking, and shipping
Perform tasks related to staging materials for upcomingconstruction projects.
Load and unload materials from pallets, trucks or cartonsto proper stock keeping locations
Count, weigh, and verify materials as required
Schedule and prepare documentation for outbound freightpick-up
Handle and move material using hand trucks, electricdolly, forklift, or other devices; stack or assemble materials as needed
May prepare records of material received, perform cycleaudit counting, and assist in performance of more complex tasks
Maintain a clean and safe workplace and perform stocklocation cleaning
Maintain proper system accounting and account coding ofall materials
Maintain appropriate stocking levels ofequipment/materials
Adhere to established safety practices and procedures
All other duties as assigned

High School diploma or equivalent and 4%2B yearsexperience with 3%2B years directly related to the job. College hours or acollege degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.

Experience managing construction materials and inventory
Experience working with radio-frequency devices to scanand record inventory transactions
Experience with warehouse management software and systems
Experience operating warehouse material handlingequipment, including forklift certification
M-F 7 AM EST to 4 PM EST with a 1 hour lunch break.
1 year contract
