Material Control Technician I - Metallus Inc.

This role is not eligible for relocation.

The Material Control Technician I will be responsible for the timely receiving and processing of supplier invoices, as well as working with suppliers and plant associates to resolve issues related to invoicing and receiving. This role is also responsible for operating scale to weigh and receive direct materials.

Responsibilities:

• Timely receiving and routing of supplier invoices to ensure that Metallus receives all eligible discounts.
• Work with suppliers and Metallus employees to resolve issues related to invoicing.
• Weigh in trucks with direct materials and send them to the correct area to unload.
• Process all paperwork related to truck receiving in an accurate and timely manner.
• Create purchase orders for the FMCC organization as well as Vendor Managed Inventory.
• Receiving - Both via Maximo and Meyer.
• Process Service and material invoices.
• Generate weekly reports.
• Administrative duties such as ordering office supplies.
• Act as Department Quality Representative to ensure all quality records are current, truck scale calibrations are completed, and radiation detector checks are completed.
• Participate in special projects, continuous improvement, safety, training, and SS improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of experience in customer service, data entry or related.
• Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail

Preferred Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in customer service, data entry or related.
• Advanced computer and Microsoft Office skills
